Previously on Siberia: Daniel wants to come on Irene. Sam has a gamy foot. Milijan pisses off Esther. Snow. Monster in the woods. Irene goes missing. The big shock in the hut is that Milijan has slipped the surly bonds of ropes and got out. Neeko and the rest bravely set out in waist thick snow to look for Milijan and Irene. They find a body sticking out of the snow. It’s a chick. Is it goodnight Irene? Naw dog – it’s Natalie and she’s had her stomach eaten by the monster in the woods. For a vicious predatory killing machine the monster seems to leave a lot of carcass behind. There’s plenty of meat left on Natalie’s bones and it’s very interesting that in a survival situation they all overlook the obvious frozen meal staring them in the face. Anne-Marie and Esther stay behind to bury delicious dead Natalie while Sabina and Neeko continue the search for that other pair.

To make matters worse thick fog sets in leaving the group searching for the beacon even more clueless than they were last week which I for one didn’t think possible. When they finally find it Tommy climbs it, gets zapped and resuscitated by Fat Sam one-foot and awakens with the news that there’s a building close by. He’s right. It’s some kind of Ruskie science research station. It’s a reasonable shelter, there’s some furnishing and, even better, fizzy pop in the fridge. Score. There is unfortunately also some kind of creature making an abominable noise just outside. Could it be a trapped raccoon or a stomach eating Valleyman monster?
Sabina and Neeko return empty-handed from their cunt hunt to find Natalie’s unattended grave with the 2 pronged footprints of the Valleyman heading away from it. Burying frozen Natalie probably wasn’t a good move
Answers are thin on the ground in this episode. Sabina and Neeko return empty-handed from their cunt hunt to find Natalie’s unattended grave with the 2 pronged footprints of the Valleyman heading away from it. Burying frozen Natalie probably wasn’t a good move. The sleep of reason brings forth monsters.
The verdict: Pretty dreary set up episode.
