In a nutshell: Stands by her man strumpet Abi Titmuss “accidentally” lets her private bongo vid into the public domain
The 411: I found this a fascinating piece of work dogged by thematic inconsistencies. On one hand the exploration of inter-racial relationships nods towards Lee’s Jungle Fever and on the other it offers a dissection of voyeurism as acute as Hitchcock’s Rear Window.
The shaky hand-held footage gives it a documentary feel though to the untrained eye it may just look like a pair of coke-blitzed media whores going at it with a trollop they met in the club.
Strong central performances carry it off, though. Titmuss’s vacant thousand-yard porn stare would put Rachel Stevens or Michelle from Big Brother to shame and there is no-one who can yell “oh my God!” while being sucked off quite like Leslie – he remains the consummate professional.
Random Black Girl With Extensions gives admirable support though she is largely sidelined to a cunnilingus role. Bigger things surely lie in wait for her.
A powerful soundtrack includes ‘My Cherie Amour’ played on a £50 Alba stereo in Casa Leslie. It looks like those two kids really did love each other.
The best thing about it: It’s really quite filthy
The worst thing about it: Leslie’s taste in interior decor
The verdict on Abi Titmuss: She came, she saw, she came again…
