Juan Manuel Marquez murders Juan Diaz to keep Aerial Telly's phenomenal win streak running
The wins are just piling up
Classy. Humble. Dignified. Left-field. Brutal. Iconoclast. Impresario. Autodidact. Genius. Beast. Keeps coming. These are just some of the words that will never be used to describe you. Coincidentally, they are words that aptly sum up Aerial Telly, world's greatest boxing handicapper, history's greatest television critic and the boy whose name your girl screams out every time she comes (obviously, you've never witnessed this as the chances of her climaxing while in the same room as you are as remote as Keeley Hawes rounding off 365 days of fidelity with the Academy award for Best Actress). And once AGAIN you awake Sunday morning to discover the bet you placed on his advice has landed in glorious style. You've made more money off Aerial Telly than Louis Walsh made off Boyzone. And "Dinamita" Juan Manuel Marquez's stunning ninth round KO of Juan Diaz was just the latest in an extraordinary winning streak executed with boldness, flair and a ruthlessness not seen since Keeley Hawes celebrated her eight week wedding anniversary by walking out on her alleged "husband" Spencer McCallum.

Juan Diaz started the fight like the savage beast he is forcing Marquez to the ropes with crunching body shots. The Texan college kid intends to enter politics when his boxing career is over and the Square Circle is a good training ground for the snakepit that is Capitol Hill. Although the fight was competitive from the off, Diaz won the first two rounds. Could the upset be on? Could Aerial Telly be "wrong"? 1
"The Houston crowd went crazy with every Diaz attack but although the local boy was throwing boatloads many of his punches weren't finding the mark."
The answer came in the form of Dinamita taking the third and fourth rounds with his more precise and powerful punches. Although Baby Bull's hooks were more numerous, Marquez's were more telling. The Houston crowd went crazy with every Diaz attack but although the local boy was throwing boatloads many of his punches weren't finding the mark.
In round six Marquez landed three (count 'em) consecutive uppercuts to Baby Bull's jaw, the Mexico City fighter's greater accuracy and power were starting to neutralise Diaz's higher activity level and his gloves were blocking the eyecatching flurries from his opponent.
"Diaz fell helpless to the canvas and referee Rafael Ramos immediately waved off the action leaving Marquez with three title belts and
Diaz with less hope of happiness than Spencer McCallum."
The defining point of the fight came in the eighth round which Marquez dominated after wobbling Diaz's legs with a vicious left hook. In the ninth, a huge uppercut from Marquez put Diaz down face first. He beat the count but looked seriously shaky as he got to his feet. Then another brutal uppercut ended the fight finding its way beneath the guard of the tough, tough future congressman. Diaz fell helpless to the canvas and referee Rafael Ramos immediately waved off the action leaving Marquez with three title belts and
Diaz with less hope of happiness than Spencer McCallum.
Juan Diaz gave Juan Manuel Marquez more hell than Aerial Telly expected and it took every ounce of Dinamita's toughness, precision and power to get him out of there. In the end, accuracy beat activity but Juan Diaz is a real piece of work who will be back winning marquee fights and championship belts again in the near future. And Aerial "Money" Telly is still the man who gives the bookies night terrors, irritable bowel syndrome and post-traumatic stress disorder.
He simply will not be denied.
